Wightlink has partnered with the Blue Marine Foundation (BLUE) to place cages containing hundreds of young oysters into the Lymington River as part of its initiative to re-introduce the shellfish to the Solent.

From Monday 13 July 2020, all customers on Wightlink’s Portsmouth-Fishbourne route will be asked to leave their vehicles after embarkation and spend the journey in the passenger lounges or outside sundecks.

A new tourism industry standard and consumer mark, designed to give consumer confidence to visitors and residents, has been welcomed by Wightlink as it is granted its own certificate.
Wightlink re-opened the cafes at its Portsmouth and Fishbourne ports this week. The outlets on either side of the flagship route have been modified in the light of current restrictions and guidance on COVID-19.
Wightlink has thanked freight and delivery companies for their help in ensuring the Island receives the right supplies at the right time throughout the coronavirus crisis.
