Beer on the Pier brings September cheer

To celebrate the Island’s reputation as the home of top-quality produce, Wightlink is showcasing several of its Isle of Wight suppliers at a special event this weekend (September 7-8) on Ryde Pier.

Breweries Wight Knuckle and Island Ales, with Shandy Shack, will be featured at Beer on the Pier, alongside a Mermaid Gin Bar and Wightlink’s usual range of refreshments will be on sale at its Wight Taste outlet inside the terminal. Music will be provided by Island-based Crystals Disco.

Beer on the Pier will be open from 11:00 to 19:30 on Saturday and from 11:00 to 18:00 on Sunday.

“Summer’s not over yet, so this is your chance to enjoy a drink with spectacular sea views and disco tunes at the end of Ryde Pier,” says Wightlink Commercial Director Phil Delaney. “We are proud to sell some of the Isle of Wight’s finest produce and want to spread the word about our suppliers.”

Ryde Pier will also welcome the world’s last seagoing paddle steamer Waverley on Saturday as part of the historic ship’s circumnavigation of the Isle of Wight

It will be an unmissable weekend on the Isle of Wight for foodies with the popular Cider and Cheese Festival at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway and the Great Wight Bite food and drink festival in Cowes.
