Isle of Wight Mountain Bike Centre

Established in 2011 following the Island Games, the Isle of Wight Mountain Bike Centre is a haven for mountain bike enthusiasts. Situated on Cheverton Farm, it fills the gap for purpose-made mountain bike trails on the Island. Under new management since 2017, the Centre aims to create a unique UK mountain bike experience.

Unlike typical trail centres, it fuses two concepts, utilizing the farm’s hills to create hubs with varying downhill options. These include moderate (Blue), difficult (Red), and very difficult (Black) trails. Riders can tailor loops to their skill level and preferences, exploring trails with technical challenges, jumps, and flowy sections.

The Centre offers three diverse trails:

  • Green Loop (3.5 km): Family-friendly, with easy features and an all-weather surface.
  • Blue Loop (9 km): Featuring an all-weather surface on descents and the exhilarating ‘Twisted Wizard’ final descent.
  • Red Loop (4 km addition to the blue loop).

With a car park, toilets, hot food, bike wash, tuck shop, bike shop, and mechanic, the Isle of Wight Mountain Bike Centre promises an exceptional experience for both the UK mountain bike scene and the Island itself.
